UAB is currently third in the conference with a team hitting percentage of .215. The Blazers are led by sophomore Sam Skinner with an average of 4.29 kills per set and 4.82 points per set. Juniors Kiriana Hirini and Sara Rishell have been the most efficient hitters with .339 and .336 hitting percentage, respectively.
UAB's defense has been strong, with senior Rachel Fairbanks averaging 4.95 digs per set. Rishell and Hirini are third and fourth in block per set, averaging 1.17 and 1.16, respectively.
