Women's Golf Final Round Cancelled At Bearcat Classic

MAINEVILLE, Ohio - Torrential downpours halted action in the final round of the Bearcat Classic on Tuesday before the TPC River's Bend course was eventually deemed unplayable as the tournament will be counted as an 18-hole event.
Inclement weather plagued the tournament ever since the 16 teams teed off, and after round one was completed Monday afternoon, officials cancelled round two in hopes to play the final 18 on Tuesday.
UAB made it through holes 12-15 on Tuesday before play was halted and the tournament was officially declared an 18-hole event.
UAB finished sixth as a team at 312, 24-over. Holly Robinson and Sydney Snodgrass' 8-over, 80 scores from Monday count to finish tied for 35th, while Kayla Wilbourn finishes the event tied for seventh at 3-over, 75.
Rebecca Chandler carded a tie for 16th after shooting a 5-over, 77 on Monday. Margaret Yeh finished the event tied for 56th at 10-over, 82, while Jesse Lawley rounds out the UAB field at 16-over, 88, tied for 85th.
The Blazers will have a week off before returning to the course on Oct. 20-21 at the Blue Raider Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
