BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The No. 21 UAB men's soccer team continues its run in the Conference USA Championship on Friday with a semifinal match against the No. 7 seed South Carolina Gamecocks.
The Blazers and Gamecocks are set for a 3:30 p.m. start Friday in Norfolk, Va. Live stats for Friday's match will be available at www.UABSports.com. The game will also be available for viewing on the C-USA Digital Network powered by College Sports Live.
The winner of Friday's match will advance to Sunday's championship game against the winner of the semifinal match between Charlotte and Old Dominion.

Looking Back
UAB tallied its fourth shutout of the season and second in as many games in Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Marshall in the Conference USA Championship Quarterfinals. Sophomore forward Rami Dajani netted his fifth goal of the year on a James Nanje Ngoe assist to send UAB to the semifinals. Head coach Mike Getman recorded his 300th career win in the victory on Wednesday.
Scouting The Opposition
South Carolina is coming off a dramatic, 2-1 victory over No. 18 Kentucky in the Conference USA Championship Quarterfinals. The Gamecocks scored with 11 seconds left to advance to the semifinals as the No. 7 seed.
South Carolina is 9-9 on the year and is led by freshman Mikkel Knudsen, who has seven goals and earned the league's Golden Boot Award (given to the player with the most goals scored in league play). Eleven different players have scored thus far for the Gamecocks as they average 1.56 goals per game.
Series Breakdown
Friday's semifinal matchup in Norfolk, Va. will be the 17th all-time between the two programs, as South Carolina leads, 10-5-1. UAB defeated the Gamecocks earlier this season, 1-0, in Columbia and is 2-3 against South Carolina in neutral site matchups.
