Bowling Finishes Ninth At Kat Klash

HOUSTON, Texas - The UAB bowling team finished in ninth place at the Kat Klash tournament in Houston, Texas after recording two wins on Sunday.
UAB (26-15) was 9-6 across the three-day event. The Blazers finished 2-1 in the baker best-of-seven bracket play on the final day.
In the 76 games throughout the tournament, UAB had a total pinfall of 13,766 to average 181.1 per game. The Blazers started their final day against No. 20 Monmouth, taking the win to advance up in the bracket.
The second game pitted UAB against No. 16 McKendree, but the Blazers fell in that game with one match remaining in the tournament.
UAB paired up with No. 18 Alabama State in the third game, earning its second win of the day over a ranked opponent to finish in ninth place.
This was the final fall tournament for the Blazers, as the team will have a break until January when it returns to action in the Mid Winter Invitational from Jan. 16-18.
