HATTIESBURG, Miss. ---- The UAB women's golf team stands in 10th place after one round at the Lady Eagle Invitational in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Host school Southern Miss is in the lead following a 13-over par, 301 performance as a team. The Blazers are currently ahead of New Orleans, Texas Pan-American and Jackson State after the first 18 holes of action.
Senior Caitlin Watts was the top Blazer performer on the day. She stands in a tie for 18th place following a 6-over par, 78.
Blazer teammate Holly Robinson is in a tie for 24th after shooting a 7-over par, 79. Meanwhile, Jesse Lawley, Margaret Yeh and Rebecca Chandler are all in the top-60 heading into Tuesday's action.
The Blazers will begin play at 9 a.m. Tuesday with one round remaining.
