Men's Soccer Falls to Charlotte on Senior Night

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB men's soccer team could not capitalize on opportunities as the Blazers fell to Charlotte, 3-0, on Senior Night at BBVA Compass Field Saturday.

Goalkeeper Joe Kuzminsky proved tough with three saves, all in traffic, to keep the game scoreless for over 40 minutes, but Charlotte's (10-5-2, 7-2-1 C-USA) Kyle Parker netted his 12th goal of the season in the final minutes of the half to give the 49ers a lead at the break.
The UAB (5-11, 2-6 C-USA) defense came under pressure in the second half as Charlotte extended its lead to 2-0 in the 63rd minute with help of Maclean Holbrook's footwork bypassing UAB defenders.

"If I knew what went wrong, I would have fixed it.," Getman added. `The one thing we expect is that our players will fight, battle and work hard every day, and I thought they did a fantastic job of that all season long."
