Women's Golf Begins Play at UALR/Arkansas State Invite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- UAB's women's golf team closes its busy month of March Monday and Tuesday with play at the UALR/Arkansas State Women's Golf Invitational in Maumelle, Ark.
The Blazers will join 13 other teams and play the first 36 holes on Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, and the final round will begin Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the 6,133-yard, par-72 Maumelle Country Club.
Other teams in the field include co-hosts UALR and Arkansas State, UCA, Illinois State, UMKC, Missouri State, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, Oral Roberts, Stephen F. Austin, UTEP, Western Michigan and Wichita State.
UAB is coming off the Bearcat Spring Classic, where they improved tremendously over the final two rounds to finish 10th of 17 teams, paced by Rebecca Chandler's 25th-place finish.
