Blazers Eighth at River Landing Classic

WALLACE, N.C. -- The UAB women's golf team fired a 35-over, 611 in Saturday's two rounds, to place eighth of 12 teams at the River Landing Classic entering Sunday's final round.
Freshman Sydney Snodgrass led the way for the Blazers, turning in a 7-over, 151 score for the day, including a first round 77 and 74 in her final 18 holes.
Holly Robinson finished two strokes behind her teammate with a 76 and 77, to put herself in a tie for 28th going into the final 18 holes.
Juliana Sebastian and Rebecca Chandler both recorded scores of 10-over, 154. Sebastian carded a first round 74, then dropped an 80 in round two. Chandler shot identical 77s in each of her rounds.
Delaware paced the 12-team field with a 17-over, 593 in the opening day of action. Old Dominion's Maggie Simmermacher led the individual field with a 1-under, 143 heading into Sunday's final round.
