BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB women's golf team opens play at the 2015 Conference USA Women's Golf Championship Monday at Verandah Club in Fort Myers, Fla.
"The girls are playing well and we are excited to get to Fort Myers for the C-USA Championship," head coach Kim Wilcox said in advance of the tournament.
The three-day, 54-hole championship will run Monday through Wednesday, with 18 holes per day at the Bob Cupp designed Old Orange, a par-72, 6,081-yard layout which will be hosting its first C-USA event.
UAB will be grouped with Marshall and North Texas and begin play on the back nine beginning at 8:50 a.m. ET. Margaret Yeh will tee-off first, followed by Rebecca Chandler, Juliana Sebastian, Sydney Snodgrass and Holly Robinson.
For every succeeding round, team scores will determine pairings. Live scoring of the 20th Annual C-USA Golf Championship will be provided by GolfStat.
The Blazers are coming off a ninth place finish at the River Landing Classic two weeks ago. The Green and Gold's highest finish this season came back in the fall, where they placed sixth twice.
Snodgrass enters her first C-USA Championship event with the team's lowest stroke average (78.07). Rebecca Chandler's mark of 78.9 ranks just behind, while Sebastian, Robinson and Yeh are within two strokes of each other heading into the three-day event.
