UAB Bowling Holds Steady in Second Place

The Blazers picked up wins in their first and last matches of the day to go 2-2 in Traditional Pinfall Matches. UAB defeated Alabama State 913-861, and Jackson State 922-908.
Individually, Taylor Russell continued her strong play and sits in fifth place going into the final day. The Mississippi native used a third game best score of 234 to lead the team with a 198.40 pinfall average.
Caitlin Cunningham is in seventh place overall after bowling a five game score of 969 and a 193.80 average.
Redshirt Junior Madeleine McDuff rounds out the Blazers in the top-10. She started the day off hot bowling a 222 against Alabama State and sits in ninth place overall.
Tulane remains the leader in the team competition extending its lead to 127 pins ahead of UAB.
The final round of competition is set for tomorrow.
