Blazers Open Season at USA Intercollegiate

MOBILE, Ala. – The UAB women's golf team sits in fifth place after round one of the USA Intercollegiate.
"Rebecca, Sydney and Kayla all had a very nice first round," head coach Kim Wilcox said. "Overall the team played well. We look forward to improving tomorrow. I'm pleased with the start."
Rebecca Chandler and Kayla Wilbourn each shot 74 (+2) to be the Blazers leader in the clubhouse and they sit in a tie for 14th.
Sydney Snodgrass shot a 75 (+3) and is in a four-way tie for 20th. Juliana Sebastian shot seven over to card a 79.
Kenna Hughes rounded out the Blazer lineup and shot 85 (+13) in her collegiate debut.
UAB shot 302 (+14) and sits in fifth place trailing the first place Western Kentucky by only eight strokes.
The Blazers begin teeing off tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. CT. They are paired with McNeese State and Samford.
