Blazers Finish Ninth at Brunswick Bearcat Open

O'FALLON, Ill. – The No. 19 UAB Bowling team closed its second tournament of the season with a ninth place at the Brunswick Bearcat Open on Sunday.
After two days of playing five game a day the Blazers entered the final day in 10th place and were paired with Farleigh Dickinson in the first match of the day. The Blazers swept the Knights in straight games winning the final one 160-158.
The win paired UAB up with Central Missouri where the two squads battled to a game seven before Central Missouri edged the Blazers by eight frames to secure the win.
UAB once again played to a game seven in its final match but this time reigned victorious defeating St. Francis 182-134 in the final game.
Nebraska took home team honors defeating host McKendree in the championship game.
The Blazers will not take any time off as they hit the road again next weekend with a trip to Texas to compete in the Track Kat Klash.
