Blazers Look to Move Up in Final Round

PINEHURST, N.C. – The UAB women's golf team looks to move up the leaderboard on the final day of the Pinehurst Challenge.
"This is a great field and I am proud of how the girls bounced back in the second round. We plan to continue the trend tomorrow," head coach Kim Wilcox said.
Sydney Snodgrass fired a season-low 145 36-hole score after opening the tournament with rounds of 72 and 73. Snodgrass is tied for 27th going into the final 18 holes.
After opening the day with a 75, Maria Donado cruised to a 73 in the afternoon round to finish tied for 48th.
Kenna Hughes moved into the number two spot in the order for this week's tournament and responded by carding an even-par 72 in the second round.
Making her way back into the lineup, Juliana Sebastian shot consecutive 80s on day one.
Imy Huxley rounded out the lineup shooting an 81 and 85 in the first and second rounds, respectively.
East Carolina leads the tournament by two strokes at 10-under par. Malene Krolboll Hansen of Coastal Carolina blistered the first day, firing rounds of 68 and 67 for a nine-under par 135 total and sits atop the leaderboard going into the final day.
UAB is set to tee off at 7:30 a.m. CT for the final round and will be paired with Charleston Southern and Presbyterian College. Fans can follow all of the action live on GolfStat.com.
