Blazers Finish in Top-10 at Competitive SFA Jack’s Invitational

HOUSTON – The No. 13 UAB bowling team picked up its fifth top-10 finish of the season as it moved up one spot into 10th place on the final day of the SFA Jack's Invitational.
UAB picked up a 4-2 win over LA Tech in game one of the best-of-seven match play. After trading wins in the first four frames, the Blazers took the final two to secure the win.
The victory set the Green and Gold up with North Carolina A&T in a battle that would last all seven games. North Carolina A&T took the first frame but UAB rattled off three consecutive wins before falling in the sixth frame. UAB won the match on a commanding 224-188 final game.
The Blazers fell in the final match of the day 4-0 to LIU-Brooklyn.
Drama came at the top of the leaderboard as Nebraska defeated McKendree twice on the day to take home the team crown.
UAB returns to the lanes on March 9-11 at the USBC Sectionals where it awaits its seeding to determine the location.
