Blazers Travel to Symrna for USBC Sectional

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The No. 14 UAB bowling team heads to Smyrna, Tenn., this weekend to compete in the United States Bowling Congress Collegiate (USBC) Sectional.
The USBC assigned sectional assignments based on Team Ranking System points earned throughout the USBC Collegiate season.
UAB has amassed a 51-34 record this season with five top-10 finished and earned the team title at the Hornet Classic. Taylor Russell leads the Green and Gold with a 208.91 average over 35 games this season.
Joining the Blazers in Smyrna this weekend is Alma, Bethel, Cumberlands, Emmanuel, Florida State, Huntington, Lindsey Wilson, Martin Methodist, UMES, North Carolina A&T, Pikeville, Robert Morris, Savannah College of Art and Design-Savannah, St. Francis and Union.
The top-four team from the sectional will advance to the USBC National Championships set April 18-21 at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln, Neb.
