No. 10 FIU Defeats UAB in First of Two Matches in Miami

MIAMI – The UAB beach volleyball team fell to No. 10 FIU 5-0 on Friday afternoon in the first of two weekend matches in Miami.
The Blazers (8-10, 1-5 CCSA) were defeated in straights on all courts and will return on Saturday for a rematch against their conference opponent in the final tune up for next weekend's CCSA Tournament.
Along with UAB, the 10th ranked Panthers (19-8, 6-3 CCSA) will be one of 10 teams vying for the CCSA title in Emerson, Ga. The Blazers and the Panthers will be joined by Florida State, LSU, South Carolina, Florida Atlantic, College of Charleston, UNC Wilmington, Georgia State and Tulane.
