Men’s Tennis Makes Short Trip to South Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The UAB men's tennis team looks to rebound off a three-match losing streak on Sunday as the Blazers make the short trip south to face off against South Alabama at noon.
The Blazers (11-9, 0-5) are coming off the Conference USA Shootout in San Antonio, Texas, where they dropped three hard-fought matches against Rice (4-2), UTSA (4-3) and Southern Miss (4-2).
Sophomore Tim Dollman was lights out on the weekend, improving to 16-2 in singles play in the No. 1 spot for the Blazers. Dollman also claimed two wins in doubles with partner Stefan Gonzalez to improve to 13-4 on the year.
Fellow sophomores Tom el Safadi and Giovani Pasini also claimed singles victories for the Blazers over the three matches.
The teams met two times last season with South Alabama emerging victorious, 4-1, on Feb. 25 and 4-3 on April 1.
