Men’s Tennis Completes Weekend Competitions

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB tennis team wrapped up another weekend of competition with matches in Tennessee against Middle Tennessee and Belmont.
UAB (8-9, 1-2 C-USA) dropped its second Conference USA match of the season in a 6-1 loss to Middle Tennessee (13-9, 2-0 C-USA) on Saturday.
Michal Lusovsky claimed the lone point for the Blazers in the No. 2 singles position, defeating Stijn Slump, 6-4, 7-6. UAB's No. 50-ranked doubles team of Lusovsky and Roman Postolka was victorious in another match, topping No. 52 Tom Moonen and Chris Edge, 6-3.
The Green and Gold fell to Belmont in UAB's second match of the weekend, 5-2. Lusovsky won his second match of the weekend against the Bruins, winning in the No. 2 position against Marko Ilic, 6-1, 6-7, 6-2. Tom el Safadi notched the other point for UAB with a No. 6 position win against David Faulkner, 6-4, 6-2.
UAB returns to the courts in Houston, Texas to participate in the Conference USA Shootout April 5-7.
