Men’s Tennis Blanks Alabama State 7-0

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's tennis team won its second consecutive match with a 7-0 victory over Alabama State on Friday at the UAB Tennis Courts.
UAB claimed the doubles point as the No. 47-ranked pairing of Roman Postolka and Michal Lusovsky defeated Ion Efrim and Alexis Collard, 6-2, and Daniel Janko and Jasper Van Kleef overcame Tomas Fernandez and Carl-Louis Luckmann, 7-5.
The Blazers (6-5, 1-0 C-USA) won all six singles matches. Lusovsky won, 6-1, 6-2, over Juan Rodriguez on court four to put UAB up 2-0 before Van Kleef defeated Collard, 6-4, 6-3 on court two. Janko clinched the match for the Green and Gold with a 7-6, 6-1 victory over Chris Andre on court three. Postolka, Pasini and Tom el Safadi each won their respective matches as well.
The Blazers return to the courts on Saturday when they host Tennessee Tech at the UAB Tennis Courts with first serve scheduled for 1 p.m.
