Men’s Tennis Defeats Jackson State in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB men's tennis team won its second consecutive match on Sunday afternoon at the UAB Campus Courts, topping Jackson State 4-0.
UAB won the doubles point with wins on courts 1 and 2 as Roman Postolka and Michal Lusovsky overcame Juan Soria and Agustin Leguizamom, 6-2, and Nikolai Manchev and Tom el Safadi were victorious against Hiromu Ikeda and Agustin Agosto, 6-1.
The Blazers went up 2-0 with a court 2 singles victory by Nikola Puric against Richy Gamo, 6-2, 6-3 before Giovani Pasini put the Green and Gold up 3-0 in the match with a win over Ikeda on court 4, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2. UAB clinched the match with a court 1 win by Lusovsky as he defeated Soria, 6-7 (8-10), 6-2, 6-3.
UAB returns to the courts on Saturday as it plays host to Belmont with first serve scheduled for 2 p.m. from the UAB Campus Courts.
