UAB Drops Three Contests on Final Day of March To May

MARCH TO MAY TOURNAMENT RESULTS

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The UAB volleyball team lost three matches to nationally ranked opponents on the final day of the March To May on Sunday in Gulf Shores.

In its first match of the day, UAB lost a very closely contested match to No. 20 Tulane, 3-2. The Blazers notched wins on court two (Arden Copping/Emma Andraka) and court four (Ella Alexander/Jessica Ennis), but the Green Wave secured the 3-2 victory with a three set win on court three.

The Blazers then fell to No. 7 Grand Canyon and No. 1 UCLA both by scores of 5-0. Despite the 5-0 result to No. 1 UCLA, the Blazers forced three sets on courts one and three, but came up short in both.

UAB was the host institution for the March To May which welcomed eight nationally ranked teams to the site of the NCAA National Championship in May. Tickets to the 2022 NCAA National Championship are on sale by clicking here.
