Men's Tennis Set to Host Georgia State, Travel to Georgia Southern

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's tennis (7-3) will host Georgia State on Friday afternoon at the Hoover Met Tennis Center to kick off the weekend before traveling to Georgia Southern on Sunday. Friday's match against the Panthers has been pushed to 5 p.m. CT due to weather. The Blazers will travel to Georgia Southern to take on the Eagles at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday.
The Blazers picked up a 7-0 win over Lipscomb in their last match after snapping their six-match winning streak against No. 20 Mississippi State.
Roman Postolka had a big week for the Blazers, going 2-0 in both singles and doubles play. Against Mississippi State, he picked up a win over No. 107 Petar Jovanovic in three sets (6-2, 4-6, 6-4) while he and doubles partner Parker Bradbary beat Michal Novansky and Benito Sanchez Martinez, 6-3. Postolka picked up a straight set win over Henrique Ushizima of Lipscomb in UAB's second match of the week (6-3, 6-2).
UAB has won seven of its last eight matches and will look to continue its hot start to the season. The Blazers have captured the doubles point in eight of 10 matches to open the year.
