UAB Women’s Tennis Falls to LA Tech 4-2

HOOVER, Ala. – The UAB women's tennis team dropped a close decision to LA Tech on Saturday afternoon 4-2.
The Blazers (7-9, 0-2 C-USA) fell behind when the Lady Techsters won the doubles point. Maggie White and Sydney Clarke won 6-2 on Court 1, but Tech took the other two courts.
UAB dropped Court 2 before Adela Wasserbauerova took Court 3 4-and-3. Annalisa Smith came back from a first set loss to win the next two 3-and-3.
The clincher came on Court 1 in three sets.
Up next, the Blazers head to Bowling Green, Ky. to face WKU (14-8, 1-2 C-USA). The Lady Toppers are coming off a 4-3 loss to Middle Tennessee on March 31. The next home match is the rescheduled match against Jacksonville State on April 11 29 at 1 PM. The match is schedule to take place at the Hoover Met.
