BIRMINGHAM - UAB Track and Field head coach Kurt Thomas has released the Track and Field schedule for the 2024-25 season.
The schedule consists of 17 dates, nine indoor and eight outdoor meets. Eight meets will be in the Magic City.
"We are excited for our team this year and we feel like our indoor outdoor schedule sets us up to be successful at the championship meets," said Thomas. "As always, we get to host great meets at the Birmingham Crossplex. This year is no exception and we will again get to host the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. Home track advantage is special to us and we hope we can take advantage of it. But trips to Vanderbilt and Clemson should prepare us for the championship meet along the way. In the outdoor meets, we get to compete against some of the best teams in the country when we go to places like Georgia Tech Relays and others. This year we will get to preview the championship track when we go to Charlotte late in the outdoor season. We are fortunate to be able to host a home meet in front of our friends and family at the end of March and we are always excited about that. But as always in track and field, the championship meets are the most, and our team will be ready."
The 2024-25 slate begins on December 6 when the Blazers head across town to the Birmingham Crossplex for the Icebreaker.
