UAB Softball Travels to Oxford for Ole Miss Classic

BIRMINGHAM – Playing its final nonconference tournament before AAC play starts, the UAB softball team travels to Oxford this weekend for five games at the Ole Miss Classic.
UAB (6-9) is set to take on Ole Miss (11-3), Southeastern Louisiana (12-3) and Kent State (6-3). UAB will play Ole Miss and Kent State twice and SLU once.
UAB Schedule:
Friday, March 1
1 p.m. – Kent State
6 p.m. – Ole Miss
Saturday, March 2
10: 30 a.m. – Ken State
1 p.m. – Southeastern Louisiana
Sunday, March 3
12:30 p.m. – Ole Miss
Bella Wiggins continues to pace the Blazers offensively and enters the weekend leading the nation in triples with five. UAB's leadoff batter is also pacing the team in batting average (.368), hits (14), walks (11) and on-base percentage (.529).
Lindsey Smith is also delivering at the plate and carries a batting average of .342 into the weekend including three home runs and 14 RBI which are team highs.
