Historic Beach Season Ends with 3-0 Loss to No. 14 FIU

YOUNGSVILLE, La. – The UAB beach volleyball team's historic 2024 season came to a close on Friday at the Conference USA Tournament with a 3-0 loss to No. 14 FIU at the Sugar Beach Sports Complex in Louisiana.

The Blazers finished the year with an overall record of 19-15. UAB's 19 wins are the most in school history, while UAB also set individual school records for most single season wins on courts one (21), two (18) and three (19).

FIU took the match with victories on courts one, four and two (in that order), as courts three and five were left unfinished. UAB won the first set on court five and lost a closely contested 24-22 decision in the first set on court three.

UAB went 1-2 at this year's CUSA Tournament with losses to Tulane and FIU, and the record setting 19th win over Tarleton State.
