Women’s Tennis Set to Face Alabama State

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's tennis (1-1) will take on Alabama State (0-2) in Montgomery, Alabama on Sunday. First Serve is set for 1 p.m. CT.
The Blazers defeated Presbyterian 7-0 on Friday for their first win of the season at the Hoover Met Tennis Center.
UAB opened the match against the Blue Hoses by taking the doubles point. Gresi Bajri and Vanessa Mellynchuk took care of business on Court 1 while Klara Kajabova teamed up with Mackenzie White to secure the point with a win on Court 3.
The Green and Gold were able to capture all six of the singles points to secure the 7-0 victory. The wins from Bajri, Damaskova and Tesankic marked the first of their collegiate career.
