Blazers Headed to Fort Worth for USBC ISC/ITC Sectionals

BIRMINGHAM- The UAB Bowling is headed to Fort Worth, Texas, for the United States Bowling Conference Intercollegiate Singles/Team Sectional on March 7-9, announced by the USBC on Wednesday, February 19.
The top four teams from the four sectionals will qualify for the ITC Championships from April 16-19 at the South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas. This will be UAB's second consecutive sectional appearance since 2021.
Teams will bowl 64 Baker games over two days, with each day consisting of eight four-game sets. Standings are based on total pinfall.
The Blazers are 43-39 this season with top-15 finishes at all tournaments, including winning the Southern Queens at the start of the season. Out of the five other NCAA teams in the Fort Worth Sectional, the Blazers have competed and won against all except for one.
Eleven of the blazers will participate in the ISC Sectional held the day before. Gabrielle Moore, Katie Jamison, and Kacey Marshal will be competing at the Smyrna, Tenn., Sectional for singles while the other eight bowlers will compete in Fort Worth, Texas. Bowlers will bowl six games, with the top four from each sectional automatically qualifying for the championship, and eight additional individuals based on field size will make up the 24 bowlers competing for the individual title.
