Women’s Tennis Wins Thriller at North Alabama

FLORENCE, Ala. – UAB women's tennis picked up a 4-3 win over North Alabama on Tuesday afternoon in Florence, Alabama.
The Lions took the doubles point on Courts 1 and 3 to start the match.
Doubles
1. Vanessa Mellynchuk/Gresi Bajri (UAB) def. Stanislava Bobrovnikova/Eeva Ristola (UNA) 6-1
2. Klara Kajabova/Mackenzie White (UAB) vs. Anoek Pruijmboom/Ada Karabacak (UNA) 4-3, unfinished
3. Nera Tesankic/Enya Ratkic (UAB) def. Emma Ansorge/Mathilde Delaney (UNA) 6-4
The Blazers bounced back in singles taking four of the six courts. Vanessa Mellynchuk earned her fourth consecutive singles victory and moves to 4-1 on the season. Kristyna Damaskova earned a straight set win on Court 3. Mackenzie White claimed a three-set match on Court 5, while Nera Tesankic clinched the match with a three-set thriller on Court 6.
