Women’s Tennis Falls 4-3 Versus North Florida

AUBURN, Ala. – UAB women's tennis dropped a tightly-contested match against North Florida on Saturday afternoon, falling 4-3.
The Ospreys took the doubles point on Courts 1 and 2 to start the match.
Doubles
1. Isabel Oliveira/Nicole Alfaro Solis (UNF) def. Vanessa Mellynchuk/Klara Kajabova (UAB) 7-6(3)
2. Laurie Barendse/Anslee Long (UNF) def. Nera Tesankic/Mackenzie White (UAB) 6-1
3. Kristyna Damaskova/Enya Ratkic (UAB) vs. Aryana Bartlett/Gabby Goyins (UNF) unfinished, 6-6(2-1)
Vanessa Mellynchuk grabbed the first singles win and moves to 5-1 on the season. It was also Mellynchuk's fifth consecutive win. Kristyna Damaskova took the next available singles point, but North Florida took court three to tie the match 2-2.
Mackenzie White won a three-set thriller on Court 4 to give the Blazers a 3-2 advantage. North Florida then won Courts 5 and 6 to take the match 4-3.
