Blazers Split Weekend and Defeat No. 68 Tulane

DENTON, Texas – UAB women's tennis (12-6, 1-1 AAC) fell at North Texas (7-9) 4-2 on Friday, but bounced back on Saturday to defeated No. 68 Tulane (9-7) 4-3.
The last time the Blazers earned a ranked win was last season when they defeated then No. 58 Wichita State. The win over the Green Wave is the 13th-ranked victory in UAB program history.
The Green and Gold were able to secure the doubles point against North Texas, but the Mean Green took four singles wins to earn the victory. Nera Tesankic was the only Blazer to earn a singles win on Court 6.

Tulane started the match by claiming the doubles point with wins on Courts 1 and 2.
UAB was able to come back in singles and secure four of the six available singles points. Kristyna Damaskova recorded a straight set win on Court 2 along with Klara Kajabova and Mackenzie White on Courts 3 and 4. Enya Ratkic clinched the match with a three-set thriller on Court 5.
