Beebe and Delange Lead UAB on Phil Steele Preseason AAC Teams

BIRMINGHAM – Both Solomon Beebe and Jonah Delange were named Phil Steele First Team All-AAC selections to lead eight Blazers who earned a spot on Steele's all-conference teams.
Beebe was a first team selection for kick return, while Delange was the league's first team place kicker.
Beebe shined in kick return down the stretch of last season, compiling 316 yards on just 11 returns (28.7 avg) with a long of 90 yards coming against Rice. His average of 28.7 yards per kickoff return would have ranked him second at UAB for single season kickoff return average had he met the minimum requirement of 15 returns.
Delange is the reigning AAC Special Teams Player of the Year and was outstanding for the Blazers in his first year as the full-time kicker. Delange made 21-of-24 field goals and connected on his first 15 attempts to establish a new school record for consecutive field goals made. He was also perfect on PAT, going 31-of-31.
His 21 made field goals were one shy of tying the school record and his 94 points scored were the fourth most in a single season at UAB.
Guard/tackle JonDarius Morgan and punter Patrick Foley were second team honorees, while wide receiver Corri Milliner was UAB's lone representative on Steele's third team.
Quarterback Jalen Kitna, along with newcomers Jevon Jackson (running back, UTEP) and Eli Ennis (linebacker, Nichols State) were fourth team recipients.
The Blazers are 71 days away from opening the 2025 season at home against Alabama State on Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
