Parsons Collects American Conference Honorable Mention

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's soccer had a player receive a weekly honor, as officials from the league office announced on Monday that Leah Parsons earned honorable mention.
The Blazers defeated Western Kentucky last Thursday 1-0 and drew 0-0 with Belmont on Sunday, anchored by Parsons on defense.
The UAB goalkeeper collected four saves against the Hilltoppers while earning three versus the Bruins. Parsons now has three shutouts on the season and 22 saves.
Up next, the Blazers open conference play at home when they host Rice on Thursday, September 11. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
