Three Women’s Soccer Players Earn American Postseason Recognition

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's soccer players Lailah Stewart, Avery Berryman and Ava Mills collected American Conference postseason honors, announced by the league office on Sunday.
Stewart was named to the All-Conference First Team, Berryman earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team, and Mills was named to the All-Conference Third Team.
Stewart, a junior forward, has played in 18 matches while starting in 14 and leads the team with seven goals and has tallied three assists. She recorded her first hat trick in the 5-2 win against East Carolina on Oct. 12 and has scored six of her goals during conference play. During the season she earned American Honorable Mention.
Berryman, a junior forward, started and played in all 18 matches during the 2025 season. She ranks second on the team with five goals and has added four assists.
Mills, a junior defender, played in 17 matches and started in 11 and ranks third on the team with four goals. She also added two assists on the season, while playing stout defense. During the season, she earned Defensive Player of the Week and Honorable Mention.
The No. 4 seeded Blazers open postseason play on Monday, Nov. 3, against No. 5 seed UTSA in the American Conference Championship. Kickoff in Lakewood Ranch Fla., is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT.
