Haas, Stant Named to CUSA Beach Volleyball Preseason Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB Beach Volleyball duo Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant were named to the CUSA Preseason Team, Thursday afternoon. The senior pair made UAB history in 2025 with 26 wins together on court one, the program record for wins in a season by a pair.
The Blazer duo seeks history again in 2026, currently just 10 wins away from the UAB all-time record for wins by a duo. Haas looks to break the individual career wins record this weekend, needing just three wins to tie Arden Copping's 70-win record, and a clean sweep to hold the record outright after the weekend. Stant will begin to climb the UAB Court 1 Wins list, currently with the sixth most all-time, with 26, eight behind second place, Rachel Tam.
Haas and Stant kick off the 2026 season tomorrow as the Blazers head to the Unconquered Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla. UAB begins the weekend at 8 a.m. CT against #8 Florida State, also taking on Southeastern Louisiana on Friday. The Blazers will play #18 Georgia State and Cal State Bakersfield to wrap opening weekend on Saturday.
