UAB Drops Home Contest to Wichita State

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's basketball (10-17, 3-12 American) led for much of the game but could not hold off a late Wichita State (7-21, 4-11 American) push, falling 60-54 on Wednesday night at Bartow Arena.
Cali Smallwood led the Blazers with 14 points while Monae' Duffy recorded a double-double for the second consecutive game with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Eleecia Carter tallied 10 points on the night.
The Shockers were led by Treasure Thompson with 19 points. Abby Cater followed behind with 18 points and 10 rebounds and Jaida McDonald came away with 12 points.
