Blazers Earn No. 2 Seed in Conference USA Championship

UAB will face No. 7 seed UTEP on Thursday, April 23, at 10 a.m. at Sugar Beach. The Blazers defeated the Miners, 5-0, earlier this season at the Stampede Beach Opener in Clearwater, Florida, and hold a 5-0 lead in the all-time series. The winner will advance to face the winner between No. 3 seed FIU and No. 6 seed Missouri State. The tournament will follow a double-elimination format.
"We've been preparing mentally and physically for conference all year long," head coach Delaney Rose said. "We're tougher and more united than we've ever been, and this team is hungry to make history."
UAB's 24 wins this season are the most in program history. The Blazers finished with a 5-0 mark against Conference USA opponents, marking the first undefeated conference season in program history. UAB has won at least one match in the Conference USA Championship each year since joining the league in 2022 and advanced to the semifinals in 2023, the deepest run in program history.
