American Conference Weekly Honors: Tony Kim and Ole Jessen

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tony Kim and Ole Jessen earned American Conference weekly honors following a pair of victories over USC Upstate and Mercer. Kim was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Jessen earned Honorable Mention honors.
The Blazers opened the week with a 1-0 victory over Mercer on Monday night before defeating USC Upstate 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller on Saturday night.
Kim played a key role in both victories, scoring the game-winning goal against Mercer before finding the back of the net twice against USC Upstate. He finished the week with three goals and one assist.
Jessen also made an impact in Saturday's win over USC Upstate, recording one goal and one assist to help the Blazers secure the 4-3 victory.
UAB returns to action Friday night when the Blazers host South Florida at 7 p.m. at PNC Field.
