Murray State Upsets Blazer Basketball In Overtime

BIRMINGHAM - Forward Isaac Spencer led four Murray State players in double figures with 20 points as the Racers (4-1) overcame a 15-point second-half deficit to upset UAB ?(3-2) Friday evening at Bartow Arena.
Spencer scored 17 of his 20 in the second half, including five in the overtime period, but it was guard Justin Burdine who made big plays in the final minute of both regulation and overtime for the Racers.
Burdine, who scored 11 of his 14 points in the second half and five in overtime, hit a fall-away three-pointer to tie the game at 66-66 with 0:41 to play in the second half, sending the game to overtime, and then gave Murray State a 77-72 lead with 0:59 remaining in the overtime by banking in a spinning shot in the paint and then converting the three-point play with a free throw to effectively shut the door on the Blazers.

through the end of regulation, led by forward Antione Whelchel and Spencer with

game-high 12 rebounds.
