BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Although it's been a while, a very familiar number -- 44 -- just might pop up in Saturday's game at Pittsburgh.
Defensive back Wes Foss, who was injured (torn ACL) in the first week of two-a-day practice in August, and who had reconstructive knee surgery on Aug. 24, will dress for Saturday's game at Pittsburgh.
Foss, a redshirt senior from Rome, Ga., missed the team's first 10 games and was not expected to return, but his rehabilitation went so well that he was able to return to practice this week and will dress -- and could play -- Saturday.
