Blazers Sign Shaw For 2002 Season

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Amy Shaw has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at UAB, Head Coach Marla Townsend announced today. Shaw, an outfielder from Ashville, will join the team for the upcoming 2002 season.
Shaw is a 2001 graduate of Ashville High School and was named All-State in her sophomore and junior seasons. She received All-State Honorable Mention as a senior. Shaw also played for the Birmingham Vipers fastpitch summer league team.
