NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Brandon Spann had 16 points and five assists and Tulane beat UAB 83-72 Saturday.
Tulane (13-10 overall, 5-7 Conference USA) led only 36-34 at the half, and fell behind 39-36 early in the second half.
But Waitari Marsh, who finished with 14 points and seven assists, scored seven points to lead an 18-1 Green Wave run.
UAB (11-14, 4-8) never got closer than seven after that.
Antonae Roberson had 20 points and Morris Finley 18 for UAB, including four of six 3-point shots.
Spann hit three of four 3-pointers. Linton Johnson had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
