BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -Paul Delaney III hit two free throws with 28.8 seconds left in overtime to boost UAB to a 58-57 victory over DePaul on Saturday.
Delaney scored a game-high 25 points and Wen Mukubu added 19 in the Blazer's (6-3) second consecutive overtime victory.
DePaul's (4-5) Will Walker hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 52 with 28.7 seconds left in regulation. UAB had possession for the last attempt, but Delaney's shot with less than five seconds to play was partially blocked to send the game into overtime.
Walker, who had 14 points, scored from the foul line to give DePaul a 57-55 lead with 55 seconds left in overtime.
Delaney drove to the basket and his off-balance shot went in, but it was wiped out when officials ruled he had been fouled while on the floor.
Delaney hit one of two free throws, leaving DePaul in front 57-56.
Draelon Burns missed the first of a one-and-one free throw for DePaul and Delaney was fouled on UAB's next possession. His free throws put the Blazers in front for good, but there was plenty of action down to the end.
DePaul's Karron Clarke missed a shot with five seconds left and UAB rebounded. Mukubu was fouled two seconds later, but he missed both free throws.
Wilson Chandler grabbed the rebound, dribbled to mid court and fired. His shot bounced off the backboard as the buzzer sounded.
Lawrence Kinnard had 13 rebounds for UAB and Chandler had 18 points and 12 rebounds for Depaul.
