Blazers Place 13th At UC Spring Invitational

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The UAB women's golf team concluded play at the UC Spring Invitational on Saturday, placing 13th out of 17 teams with a 54-hole score of 979. The Blazers shot rounds of 333, 318 and 328 over two days at the Plantation Golf Resort.
Baylor took home the team title after carding rounds of 307, 309 and 302 for a total of 918. USF placed second with a score of 921 and Stetson rounded out the top three with a 926.
Florida Atlantic's Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn took home individual medalist honors by tallying a 223 for the tournament.
Sophomore Jaime Brabb led UAB and tied for 29th place with rounds of 82, 78 and 78 for a combined score of 238. Sophomore Lindsay Taylor shot rounds of 81, 80 and 82 to tie for 41st with a 243.
Senior Alyson Mitchell recorded a 247 over 54 holes to tie for the 49th position. Senior Christina Wentworth tied for 61st at 251 and sophomore Emi Boozer rounded out the Blazers' efforts by tying for 85th place with a total of 266.
UAB will be back in action on Friday when they begin competing in the Lady Rebel Intercollegiate in Oxford, Miss.
