BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--The UAB football team practiced for roughly two hours at the campus facilities on Wednesday afternoon in preparation for Saturday's road test at Tulane.
Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
Following practice, safeties coach Brandon Sharp spoke to the media, discussing the challenge his group will face in the first of the Blazers' two upcoming road conference games.
"I tell my guys, especially the second string, that they have to be ready," Sharp said. "They're one play away from being that guy, that starter. I believe that my guys all came out this week and are prepared to go out and get the job done."
The contest will also air locally on the Blazer IMG Sports Network on WUHT-FM 107.7. The voice of the Blazers, David Crane, will call the game action with John Whitcomb providing analysis and Sam Miller reporting from the sidelines.
