Jordan Swing Earns UAB Student-Athlete Recognition

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- Jordan Swing of the Blazer men's basketball team was recently named UAB Student-Athlete of the Week for his excellence in the classroom and on the court.
Swing, a native of Birmingham, has maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.17 as a communications major and was named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll last year.
On the court, Swing has been a standout in his junior season, averaging a team-best 15.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. His point average ranks seventh in C-USA.

In addition, he is shooting 49.6 percent from the floor and 49.1 percent from 3-point range.
In UAB's last game, Swing scored a career-high 23 points in an 88-79 loss at Rutgers.
The Blazers will host Louisiana-Monroe on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT inside Bartow Arena.
