UAB Announces Football Series With Georgia State

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- UAB will play Georgia State in a two-year football series, Blazers' officials announced on Thursday.
The Blazers and Panthers will meet in consecutive seasons -- 2015 and 2016 -- with one game in Birmingham and once in Atlanta.
UAB is scheduled to play Georgia State at Legion Field on Sept. 12, 2015 and will travel to Atlanta a year later to meet the Panthers at the Georgia Dome on Oct. 1, 2016.
UAB and Georgia State have not met on the football field. The Panthers just completed their fourth season of intercollegiate competition and their first year as a member of the Sun Belt Conference.
