Baseball Game vs. Samford Cancelled in Second Inning

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Due to inclement weather in the Birmingham area, UAB's baseball game vs. Samford Tuesday night was cancelled in the second inning.
The game was originally set to begin at 6:30 p.m., but rain in the area forced the start time to be pushed back to roughly 7:20 p.m. The Bulldogs had a 10-0 lead midway through the second, but rains set in again at Regions Field, forcing the teams to conclude play.
Tuesday's game will not be made up, and the two clubs will return to action Wednesday night for a makeup date from earlier in the year. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. from Samford's Joe Lee Griffin Field.
