Blazers Place Ninth, Cannon Tied 10th at Schenkel Invitationsl

STATESBORO, Ga. - The UAB men's golf team finished ninth Sunday at the Schenkel Invitational at Forest Heights Country Club, highlighted by a T10 finish by senior Will Cannon and T15 finish by senior Martin Rohwer.
"Our seniors have really been keeping us afloat this spring," head coach Alan Murray said. "They have been solid in each tournament"
Cannon fell five spots with a 72 in the third round while Rohwer had his best round of the weekend with a 68 to move up from 26th to 15th.
Lee Hodges kept consistent play with a 74 in the third round to finish even with par and tie at 47, and John Hayden finished at +1 with a 73 on day three. Taylor Eyster's 73 moved him up one spot in the standings, and Henry James (individual) shot an 81 to finish 83rd a +27.
The Blazers return to action in April as they begin play in the Mason Rudolph Invitational in Franklin, Tennessee on the second and third.
