BIRMINGHAM, Ala. β UAB cross country heads down to Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Friday to compete in the Crimson Classic at Harry Pritchett Running Park.

The women's 6,000 meter run starts at 9:45 a.m. with a field of 31 teams including in-state foes Auburn, Alabama and Samford. Conference opponents Southern Miss and Middle Tennessee will also be competing.

"We'll be looking to beat conference foes Southern Miss and Middle Tennessee this weekend," head coach Matt Esche said. "There will be about 20 different teams from the region so it'll be a good region preview for us as well."
